MyShoppingGenie Scam? You are looking for a way to make extra money.
You want to start you own business and make money using the internet.
You’ve heard great things about My Shopping Genie and it feels right. It makes sense. Because you can make money by simply giving away a free price comparison shopping tool guaranteed to help people save money. But what about all the My Shopping Genie Scam claims you see? Is there any truth to them? Let’s take a closer look…
My Shopping Genie ia a free internet-based price comparison program distributed by MyNet Universe, a three year old privately held company, that promises to help shoppers scour the world-wide web to find the best deals and lowest prices available for literally hundreds of thousands of products and services. The app is certified to by spyware and adware free. It also does not pass along your personal information or your shopping trends. So if a person tends shop online quite frequently (I know I do!), then I’ve heard the program can actually help you save upwards of $200 per month or more. Which, I think, is a stretch… but maybe there are a few “extreme” shoppers out there. I don’t know.

My Shopping Genie Scam?
You can pick up and install this price comparison app, the “genie”, only from MyNet Universe distributors. The app and potential savings are free. However, if you want to sign up to distribute the genie it will cost you a one-time $199 fee tand $29.95 per month to keep your license active. As a distributor, you can now give away the app and earn an average of $3 for every app that is downloaded, installed, and USED. You are not guaranteed to earn $3 per give away, but you earn a combination of monies generated from pay-per-click, pay-per-sale, and pay-per-offer commissions. So the bottom line is you might give away 100 of these price comparison apps and think you will make a solid $300 or so – but the reality is you might not make a dime unless your new customers actually USE the app when they are in shopping mode.
Another way to earn money is to sponsor and recruit new MyNet Universe distributors. The company pays $100 each time you personally refer two new distributors, plus a $10 per month residual as long as your new team members stay active and continue to pay the $29.95 monthly licensing fee. You also will earn a 20% commission on all the free genie apps they give away that earn a commission. So the plan seems solid.
So are the “my shopping genie scam” claims true? No. Not at all. However, like any real network marketing business, there are those few who will sign up and make a lot of money, many who will make some money, and the majority who won’t even make enough to cover the monthly expense.
The difference that makes all the difference is your ability to market your new business effectively.
Think about it. Let’s assume you fork out the $200 to get started. The company gives you a nice web site and a license to distribute the genie. Now what are you going to do?
First you will probably want to send an email to all your family, friends, co-workers and associates. Then add a new update to your Facebook wall and, perhaps, send out a tweet or two to your peeps. Maybe you participate in a few online forums you so can add your web site link to your signature file and get a few hits that way.
Now what? While all that is a good beginning effort – it is not enough to build a profitable business. Not even close. Because the bottom line reality is you will need to find a way to drive a steady stream of new leads and potential team builders to your web site on a continuous basis over an extended period of time.
To build a profitable business you will need to drive dozens, even hundreds of potential prospects and business builders to your site on a daily basis. Any clue how you are going to pull that off?
If not – you’ve just come face to face with the WHY most people fail to make money online. The question: Is My Shopping Genie Scam or a Real Opportunity? isn’t the most important question to ask. The most important question is how will YOU promote the business.
The key is to find a way to drive dozens, even hundreds of new visitors to your web site on a daily basis which is often easier said than done because there is a lot of competition online for that same traffic. Perhaps the best way is to use an attraction marketing system to funnel the traffic to your web site. Done properly, you can literally generated leads on demand, create an addition stream of cash flow, and promote your new business all from one marketing funnel.
Leads and traffic is the name of the game. So before you join any business, make sure you have a clear idea and plan for how you will generate leads and traffic on a daily basis. My Lead System Pro offers a proven step-by-step system to help you do just that. Take a look. You may be surprised, even shocked to discover how simple it really is to make money online.

Thanks for sharing, Harry. With the holidays FAST approaching, saving money is a good thing.
Shopping genie is definately an ILLEGAL pyramid. The law states…..it is illegal for a promoter to to take money from a participant to join a scheme. Since some money goes to the direct promoter (sponsor) and more money goes to the sponsors upline , this is illegal and this scheme will be shut down by the OFT.
Usually it gets a little deeper than you outlined. In many cases there is both the product AND training or the product AND tools included in the sign up costs. So commissions can legally be paid out for SALES and these profits can be paid to whomever. The network marketing compensation model is court-approved and proven to be 100% legal. That doesn’t mean all companies operate legally… nor does it mean all mlm programs are illegal.
My Shopping Genie is a scam. They have not paid me the commissions due in over six months. “A few days” is what they keep saying but never pay up… also.. had over 200 clicks on my Genie and got paid less than $2! This is a pyramid scam. You need to be able to get paid on the product, not just enrolling people.
DON’T DO IT!!!!
I believe My Shopping Genie to be an illegal ponzi scheme. Google My Shopping Genie Ireland News Report. This is a pretty convincing 15 minute piece on why it is an illegal ponzi scheme.
I get a phone call, i meet my friend, i watch a presentation, i pay $200, i join the genie, i duplicate the system, i sell 2 memberships, I GET NO COMMISSION….Have i been scammed????
Hey, Ben. I’m not familiar with the compensation plan but you should probably speak with your sponsor or call the company.
My honest assessment, stay away from the Genie, but run very fast toward a company called SendOutCards. Extremely legitimate, pays commissions on time, and makes a true difference in people’s lives.
“The Genie System is a “product” which is being sold to persons wishing to take advantage of the package of business aids included therein for existing business or for distributing the free Genie. By buying a Genie system the buyer becomes an Independent Genie Distributor (IGD) and may distribute free Genies for the duration of his engagement. Even if the price of the Genie System would be considered a fee for entering the My Shopping Genie system, it cannot be regarded as unreasonably high. As demonstrated in the Universal Compensation Plan the fee represents a reasonable value.” “If an IGD or a user of the Genie wishes to acquire the right to sell Genie System and thus be in a position to build up a team of distributors he/she can do so by signing up as a Registered Genie Distributor (RGD). To do so a minor amount is to be paid. No commission is paid from this amount. The remuneration for an RGD is solely based upon activities from his/her down line IGDs or RGDs. Thus the Universal Compensation Plan meet the legal and ethical demands on a direct selling plan, whether it is regarded as single level or multilevel. In fact the Universal Compensation Plan can work both as single level (IGD only) and as multilevel (RGD).”
I join few months ago..
They say you can make money by giving away free genie.
I know how to market because i own some forums with a lot of members. So i get more than 1000 installs in two months.
And i got a BANN! PPl this is Scam and asap i finish my review site i will post here. I have all proofs. Top ppl are scamers to.
Like Simon Stepsys and Shaun Smith!
Reason for ban : They say that i use some program to get so many installs.
I am now sure that there is no ppc ! When i Start they say ppc is 3$ average than i saw that all ppl geting a little like $0.30 and they dont have mora than 50 installs.
I have proofs i will show that to all.
It’s unfortunate but things like this happen. One of the reasons I preach “multiple streams of income” is due to things like this. It is NOT unusual for affiliate program managers to terminate an account when they find you are doing too well with it. I’ve actually had it happen a few times myself.
Rob its not about that .. its a just a stupid “reason” i found some very bad things about them. I am developer and i can do some tricks to see some hiden stuff
Hi Rob
Thanks for your honest information. I was about to sign up and become a distributor and commit the monthy fee and upfront cost of $199.00. But must be honest to myself. I have been learning about online marketing for the past 3 months and now just begin to see the potential of income as well as the huge knowledge I must have . As of now I have not have a solid source of traffics driving to my site and I have not impliment all things I learn to generate “tons” of traffic on daily basis.
I plan to use email marketing and have email broadcasting serivice to blastout 1000′s of email record with My Shopping Genie email ads. The cost for this marketing is very minimum. But the cost of the RGD and its monthly fee requirment is what concern me. What do you think ?
I would test the email marketing service promoting something “other” like a clickbank product first. I say this because what many people do not realize is I also own a MLM Leads site – and while I have access to over 1.8 million business opportunity seeker leads PER MONTH… I don’t email any of them because I haven’t found it to be effective. It’s FASTER to go slow and start doing what you need to do to generate your own traffic and build your own list. For me, anyway, email marketing hasn’t worked in years.
The Shopping genie is a good product,BUT,they dont tell you that you dont get paid until you make at least $300,and then you have to pay them at least $35 bankers draft to get it!!!!!
Then there is NO WAY you can track what you earn as in pay per click etc, there are NO TRACKING codes for you to check,HOW MANY TIMES PEOPLE USE IT.
I have been well and truly conned.they dont Tell you this at any of the meetings or is it stated on there website.BAD,BAD,BAD.DONT SIGN,DONT JOIN.
Thanks for sharing, Mark. That’s one of the advantages of doing business online – we can all share our experiences to help us make a decision. The company should disclose those issues and they should have some type of tracking mechanism. If not… how would a person know if they are promoting profitably or not?
