Lawrence - in Mark Yarnell's "Your First Year in Network Marketing" he talks about the management trap actually ruining some very large organizations because the lifeblood of every business is new blood. The idea is to stay in personal product mode, lead by example, and the leaders who are more than ready and able to do the business will reveal themselves and make incredible things happen. Thanks for sharing.

This article is brilliant because you really can not make someone do something if they do not want to. It should be used in not only network marketing but in other areas of our lives as well. I am sure that most people who will read this article will have a big relief because spending time with the wrong people will come to an end.

Hey Rob, I totally agree. Getting into "management mode" is a HUGE mistake many people make and you just have to understand that 70% of people will "die with their music still in them" and won't do a thing (or may for a brief period but then give up). It is unfortunate and difficult to witness so much potential not realized but there really isn't anything you can do about it. Be there for when they're ready but just like you shouldn't 'chase' people to join your business; likewise, you don't 'chase' them to build their business either - THEY have to want it!

Have an awesome day! Laura

Rob,

I'm one of those who did indeed "pester you like crazy" for 9 months all those years ago - and then I joined up, and I have kept pestering you ever since. I'm glad as heck to read this post :)

I'm now getting people who laid dormant for ages finally come back to pester me. They come around in their own sweet time, not ours.

They just need to know from you that you're there when their ready. You and I both hate leaving "orphans".
