This is really interesting. I can’t wait to hear the results and how you’ve done this…

Juli – so far, less than four hours into the test, we’ve had over 70 people post this on their wall in Facebook. The goal is to see if and when we hit a “tipping point” where it goes viral short term or long term. We’ll see…

It was a social marketing viral test to see how it worked out. So far so good. About 250 shares on FB and 750 views of a the video which is private – so only those taking place in the viral experiment could see it.

Thanks, Roy. It’s funny but I realized some time ago everything we do – good or bad – is based upon how we communicate. It’s all words, stories, instruction, and lessons we learn or share. Love it.

Hi Rob, my question might not be strongly related the subject however I need to know something. Who pays for backlinks? I cannot figure it out. Many people visit my site they link up with me however I do not pay for that or I haven’t noticed. So what is the deal here? One cannot just link on a website and force that site to pay. I am sure it is a very naive view, however that is what I have. I would very much appreciate some sort of guidance on the matter. Thank you very much for your time. Love and peace.

There are a lot of ways to get backlinks. We teach how to get FREE links and also how to use software tools to get backlinks. That is part of the “promotional” side which includes both free and paid models. The difference is you may get 12 people per month to link back to you free… naturally. However, if I use a tool that gets me 2,000 links and we are both trying to rank for the same keywords – my site will rank and yours won’t – as the search engines reward websites, blogs and video with higher ranking when they have more links. The NUMBER of links is a measure of authority.

Zsa Zsa, I just want to piggy back off what Rob was saying. He makes a valid point. It would be like going into battle with swords against an enemy who uses assault rifles. Most of the people who rank high on search engines have software and/or a team that keeps them ranking high, so if you don’t have the same resources it would still make sense to optimize your pages for search engines, but use the more direct approach of article marketing taught in the back office.

LaShaun – thanks for sharing. I think it is all about starting where you are.

For example, when I first got started I could only invest about $100 per month on “tools” – so what I did was figure how many links I could get with my $100 per month tool set and then set about RESEARCHING to find good keywords with traffic I had the change of ranking for based on the number of links I could get. Obviously this meant having to NOT promote a lot of the keywords I really wanted… but I did find a few good ones (think long tail) that we did rank for.

In time these long-tail keywords gave me traffic, leads and sales and… over time… we were able to invest in more tools. More programs. More automation. So here now today I spend probably $500 a month in tools (to make tens of thousands per month!).

Looks like a good product I will be book marking this site for future reference.
