Twenty-odd years ago my first computer was a Mac.
Then we started a direct mail business and the only software we could find to support the business ran on DOS so we made the switch to Microsoft.
Two days ago I unwrapped a brand new 24 inch IMAC with 8 gigs of ram and a massive 1 TB hard drive. And, for the next couple of days (at least!), I’ll be grinding my way through the massive Apple Tutorial site.
So I’m feeling somewhat sorry for myself.
Because I have a HUGE learning curve ahead of me. MASSIVE.
Like most things in life worth pursuing…
…there’s a learning curve and a price to pay. It’s a universal law. A test.
Are you willing to put in the time and effort necessary, rack up the requisite experience and keep moving forward DESPITE the cost?
Or will you give up three feet short of the goal?
Or never get started?
If you are willing… and demonstrate that willingness by taking the necessary and appropriate actions… and if you are serious enough to pay the price of admission… the universe somehow recognizes the sincerity and often moves favor in your direction.
Have you ever noticed that? That you truly do reap what you sow?
… you are rewarded in proportion to your participation.
By the way, writing this post is the first “function” I’ve done on the new machine apart from watching the first DVD in a new coaching program I invested in. And I’m a little dismayed to discover there is no BACK SPACE button on the keyboard.
Oh well… it’s back to the tutorial.
The reason I invested in the IMAC is to have the best tool available for producing studio quality video and audio in order to more effectively communicate with my friends and family who are in a world of hurt right now because of the economy.
So it’s my intention to produce more training materials. More step-by-step solutions to help you pay the bills and feed the dog… and for those willing to commit to producing an incredible, life-changing result… to lead by example.
Feel free to hold me accountable to help you help yourself!
