Looking for massive article traffic? Well, put away the treasure map and look no further. You’ve found the pot of gold. Right here. Right now. In fact, I actually almost DID NOT make this post because, while I shared this technique in an earlier post about Ezinearticles traffic, what you are getting ready to witness is proof positive it works… and works fast… if you promote your article properly. And we’ll talk more about that in a minute. But first watch the intro video. The quality sucks because I haven’t figured out the video software on my MAC yet. Watch it full screen. That will help.

I actually did the keyword research, found an existing ezinearticle that was ranking on the first page of Google, wrote the article and submitted it to my ezinearticle account back on November 24th. Here are the steps to create your own avalanche of article traffic:

Obtain a list of niche specific keywords with traffic. I use either the free External Google Keyword Tool or Market Samurai. I highly recommend you invest in a a copy of Market Samurai because it is, hands down, the most comprehensive keyword tool I am aware of… and I’ve used them all.

Conduct a search on Google for each keyword on your list. You are seeking to determine if an article, written by someone else, already ranks on the first page. Look for any article or page ranking for your keyword from an authority site like ezinearticles, buzzle, articlesbase or hubpages. You can add domains and your entire list of keywords into the “Rank Tracker” function of Market Samurai and run through them pretty quickly. Figure 10 minutes per 100 keywords.

Check first page listings for BACKLINK competition. Once you’ve found an article ranking on the first page for one of your niche keywords, use the SEO Quake plugin for the Firefox browser or your copy of MS to check the number of backlinks the article has. Most won’t have any backlinks and most won’t have any page rank. This is a good thing. Easy pickings. But if you see DOZENS of backlinks or an article with a PR2 or higher… skip it and go for lower hanging fruit.

Understand – search engines rank pages, not web sites or domains. And the way to get your page, post or article to rank higher on the search engines is to get more backlinks than the other competing pages. That’s it. The page that gets the most backlinks (both quality and quantity) wins a higher position… which means… traffic. Lots and lots of article traffic.

Write your keyword-rich article. Use the EXACT keyword phrase in your title, once in the first paragraph and once in the last paragraph. Your article should be at least 350 words and 500+ word articles seem to rank best. Don’t stuff your keyword phrase into the article too much – but I do like to use it at least once for every 100 words or so.

Submit your article. Once approved…

Ping and bookmark the article URl. I use pingler.com, ping.fm and onlywire.com to get a good 60-75 immediate high quality backlinks for every piece of content I publish. In fact, once I’ve finished writing this post the first thing I’ll do is fire off pingler, ping.fm and onlywire. So if you are serous about taking your internet marketing to the next level and taking full advantage of these article traffic techniques – go spend the time necessary to set up these accounts. You only have to do it once and it’s one of the best investments of your time you can make.

Getting Backlinks for Article Traffic

This is where the rubber meets the road. You MUST get backlinks to your new article page for it to rank. Lots and lots of backlinks.

I use two programs to make this happen:

• Unique Article Wizard
• Article Marketing Robot

For article traffic, I fire off ONE round using AMR. This will pick up a between 300-500 backlinks and, usually, that’s enough to make the magic happen. You don’t have to SPIN your articles, but it if you do it will help your articles actually get approved on the other article directories and them to rank as well. I use the best spinner for this. AMR does have a built in spinner but I’ve never used it so I can’t speak to that. I’ll be posting a full review of AMR in the next few days so maybe I’ll run through their spinner and see how it works. In the meanwhile, the Best Spinner is good. Very good.

However, if my new article is not ranking where I want it after a week or so… then I’ll fire up UAW and get another few hundred backlinks.

So there you go. A proven way to get massive article traffic.
