My ‘Road to Riches’ started back in 1973 at the grand opening of the Amway Center of Free Enterprise.
I was twelve years old, my parents were new distributors, and we were poor.
Rural Michigan poor.

So when Rich DeVos, and Jay VanAndel started talking about free enterprise and “The America Way” – I heard a message of HOPE… the hope of my parents getting rich beyond their WILDEST dreams… and a new, wonderful life for me and my sister.
I listened in awe as the Sanborn Singers, all dressed in red, white and blue, performed “What is this thing called Amway” and knew, deep down, life as I knew it was going to change and change in a big way.
How could it not?
We were surrounded by thousands of people laughing, cheering, hugging and crying. Tears of joy. Hope and abundance.
But things didn’t change. They got worse. So I left home when I was fifteen.
Scared and alone but determined to make good things happen. Somehow. Somewhere. And I soon enough found myself 2,439 miles from home in California working at a fast food joint (because I could eat for free) during the days and cleaning carpets at night.
Five MLM programs, half a dozen jobs, three normal “brick and mortar” businesses, tens of thousands of dollars spent on books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, seminars, bootcamps and one-on-one coaching/mentoring… and 30 years later… I finally “cracked the code” and found success in the network marketing industry.
Today Lisa and I rank in the Top 20 Income Earners with our company (not Amway) with a team of 10,000+ sharp, capable, success-oriented people like yourself. We now enjoy financial security.
30 years! Talk about being a slow learner!!
So what’s the moral of the story?
STICK WITH IT.
Your hopes, dreams and goals can and will come true if you simply do not ever quit. Get coaching. Get training.
