7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

by Rob Fore

The “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” by Ann Sieg was first published in 2006.

It is a short 35-page downloadable ebook that can be viewed on any computer with a .pdf reader and it exposes the 7 biggest challenges most common to building a profitable network marketing business fast.7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

Although the ebook is free, it will cost your name and email to get a copy which, while the book does open your eyes to a few of the prevailing myths going around the industry, its primary purpose is to generate leads in order to backend you into Ann’s Renegade Marketing system.

In other words, this book is the hook to get you engaged into Ann Sieg’s marketing funnel.

Contents: 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing

  • Lie #1 – Everyone is your prospect!
  • Lie #2 – This really isn’t sales. We just share products with people.
  • Lie #3 – Anyone can do this!
  • Lie #4 – We’ll build your business for you.
  • Lie #5 – We have the best product ever!
  • Lie #6 – You just don’t have enough belief!
  • Lie #7 – The proven system.

When it comes to promoting any type of product, service or business opportunity the best promoters “sell the sizzle” not the steak.

Meaning if they told the truth about what it really takes to build a profitable network marketing business, chance are, they would not have too many people join their teams.

Because the bottom line reality is it takes a lot of time, effort and even a good-sized financial investment to build a profitable business of any kind and especially a network marketing business.

Lisa and I have built FIVE six-figure, even multiple six-figure businesses online. We use a proven model that has never failed. Now it is your turn. Click Here Now to learn more.

The biggest take-away for Ann’s “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” is really found below the surface of the information provided.

The information is good, don’t get me wrong, but the real value is in learning the “process” used to promote the book, capture your contact information and then follow up in order to “back end” prospects into buying your product, service or business opportunity.

Mike Dillard popularized this “funded proposal” or “attraction marketing” strategy a few years before “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” was released and Ann’s system is a real live working example of the attraction marketing model in practice.

And it works!

Which is evident by how popular this book and Ann Sieg have become.

The Attraction Marketing Model

The only way to build your  profitable network marketing business is to get the product, service and business opportunity in front of at least two new prospects per day.

Minimum.

In fact, if you really want to take your business to the next level you will need to expose the business to at least 100 new people per day.

The question is: How will you make this happen?

Even if you have a huge warm market list of family and friends, eventually you and everyone on your team will have contacted every one you know.

Now what? And that is where you must learn the art and science of marketing, prospecting and recruiting.

Taking Your Business to the Next Level

Back in August, 2010 – we started using another online MLM lead generation system called My Lead System Pro.

The reason we picked MLSP over promoting Ann’s program is because with the Renegade Networker you get Ann.  That’s it. And frankly, while what she teaches may be good – it may not be good for everybody.

Meaning what works for Ann may not work for you because it doesn’t fit your personality, time available or skill level.

With the MLSP system you get access to hundreds of hours training from a few dozen MLM top producers who are making incredible things happen today.

Right here, right now.

So you are NOT limited to information that worked by in 2006 that may or may not work today – in today’s tough economic climate.

“7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” is a great example of how to get your business in front of people who are actively looking for more information now.

It is a good model of “attraction marketing” and it does work – if you work it.

Bless and be blessed,

Rob Fore

I am very familiar with Ann’s “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing”. However, I never felt a real connection with Ann. That doesn’t mean that I don’t like her, but she didn’t “gel” with me. And that’s fine, I’m sure that she’s the perfect mentor to some people. But, I think that the training and diverse community within MLSP make it appealing to more people with different backgrounds.

Hey Freddy – that’s the great thing about MLSP I like best… the diversity of leaders who share their insights. Because you are right, sometimes there just isn’t a chemistry. So to find a leader you can better gel with is important. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Rob – While doing some research on Ann Sieg’s material, I came across your website. Thanks for the comparisons. While the idea of promoting Ann or Mike’s stuff made sense while reading their materials, your point about “getting Ann” was well said. I’ve had a few customers that purchased the book and it went strongly against their traditional way of thinking…so they were pretty upset. While I didn’t agree with everything, I just picked the pieces that I could implement into my business. Thanks again for your thoughts!

Attraction marketing does not make sense at first glance, but it does actually work well. My thought is this… if NOT attraction marketing, what? And if not now… when?

Hi, Rob,

Thank you for sharing what Ann Sieg could offer. It seems like a great way to get newbies educated about some myths in this Network Marketing arena.

I agree with you that Attraction Marketing actually works! I love your thought – “if NOT attrcation marketing, what?”. Even in the real world, in networking events, we ATTRACT into our reality those people who like what we do or can offer :)

Maybe the “what?” part can be “Referral Marketing” – meaning we get referrals from satisfied customers who do not choose to go down the business path. This works well too! Having said that, it is tricky when our opportunity is so good that most people who use the products or services also choose to do business. This has good and bad consequences. The bad side is, you have to look for new prospects! No referrals! The good one is – you reap the magic in team growth through duplication as new team members introduce more new members!

This is great for an ethical bribe. I started promoting this on my capture page and I saw my percentage of opt ins increase. Mainly because a lot of people aren’t promoting it and it’s refreshing to see something other than MLSP, EN, or Magnetic Sponsoring (I love these programs BTW). She doesn’t hold anything back or tries to sugar coat the industry like so many people do. I recommend everyone read this when first starting an MLM business to grasp the proper perspective of the industry.

Thanks Rob for your insight!

Eric – yeah, Ann pretty much tells it like it is which is refreshing.
